Charities struggle in hard times- by Maurice Sines
Brighter Sines charity, vow to help raise more money for local children’s hospitals and
hospices.
Local fundraisers Brighter Sines have vowed to raise more money for local children’s hospitals and hospices
this year, to help the children of our local communities.
Set up in July 2013 by Maurice Sines and James Crickmore, to bring awareness and offer help and comfort to
those around us. Without help and support charities and hospices far too often find themselves in hard times.
All money donated to Brighter Sines, is given directly to each cause. Unlike other charities, no percentage is
taken for admin.
Maurice Sines said, ‘ We believe charity should start at home and with the communities around us’.
So far Brighter Sines have visited Basildon University hospital’s accident and emergency department to hand
out some much needed toys, to brighten up their visit. They have given money to Alamanda’s Therapy animals,
who help support the terminally ill. Rettendon Primary school as well as 3 year old Finley Ranson,
Battlesbridge. Who suffers from a rare eating disorder Eosinophilic Enterocolitis, which means he is unable to
eat normal foods without having an extreme allergic reaction.
Money raised has so far come from various events held, a fund day last September held in Wickford raised
£1200. Which included an appearance from Chas & Dave cockney singer, Chas Hodges, who sang into the
evening. A Christmas dinner and swing night held, raised £684. As well as various raffles, coffee and cake
mornings.
James Crickmore said, ‘ Everyone is willing to send money abroad, which is great, but they can forget about
improving our childrens education in schools. Or helping hospices give care to the disabled. We will do more to
help our children, but we ask for the support and awareness from our local communities and businesses.
Forthcoming fundraising events for 2014 are yet to be confirmed, information will be posted direct to the
website: brightersines.co.uk and facebook page. http://brightersines.co.uk/ https://www.facebook.com/BrighterSines

Kids always have an amazingly large assortment of stuffed bears along with other animals. Eventually, it gets a bit out of hand, and something has to be completed to make it a bit more manageable! One fantastic way to try this is to donate used stuffed bears that are still in good shape. You or your children can pick the bears -- or another stuffed animals that you simply or they may have -- that are no more favorites after which donate used circumstances to children who're less fortunate.
In theory, it appears just like a good option to give used stuffed bears. However, in reality it's not easy to acquire kids to do without their toys! They want a little "convincing" -- and listed below are a few ideas that you could try:
A sensible way to keep a toy collection manageable from the start is to implement a guide that for each and every new toy received from the child, they should choose something to give. That way you'll not have the children begging for brand new toys as frequently, each birthday or Christmas you can donate used stuffed bears as well as other toys to some worthy cause and keep the toy collection manageable.
Another way eighteen, you are children to donate stuffed bears and toys is to inform them about the kids who don't put on any toys that might receive their toys. To really make it much more enjoyable for kids to give, hook it up to an experience they'd enjoy. Maybe you can donate used circumstances to the fire department and acquire an excursion with the fire station concurrently. Call the local fire or police department to see if this would be possible, since several times these organizations are those who already have channels or contacts and know of needy kids who would like them.

If your parent is in the armed forces, especially if they may be serving in Iraq, it could be easy to convince kids to give their used stuffed toy animals for the children in Iraq. You will find APO addresses that can be used to mail these items for the soldiers to get the kids they meet in Iraq. You might tell the youngsters which they could be assisting mom or dad when they donate their stuff for your soldiers (like mom or dad) to give to kids.
If everything else fails, you can make buying that big new toy that they want determined by the little one being forced to donate their used toys to create some more room for first time toys. This works if you're planning to purchase the new toy anyways and just want to get rid of a number of the clutter.

Maurice Fred Sines & James Crickmore release- Big Balloon Race
On Saturday 28th September, Brighter Sines held a fun day at Hayes Country Park. One of our events was a big balloon race.
We sold just over 60 tickets for the event, balloons were released at 4pm later that day. After much anticipation, the responses started to arrive back. And the winner was- Barbara Woods, at Hayes Country Park. Who has informed us that the prize money of £50 was split between her 2 grandchildren. James Crickmore and Maurice Fred Sines hosted and supported the entire event. As Maurice Fred Sines and James Crickmore are co founders of BrighterSines, they had the pleasure of releasing the balloons on the day. Although the sun didn't shine all day, at least it didn't rain.
